A French dossier is your tenant application file — the collection of documents a landlord or agency wants to see before they’ll rent to you.

We call landlords and agencies, ask the questions, explain your situation, arrange appointments and follow up when nobody answers.
We check the lease
Before you sign, we go through the rental contract with you and explain what you’re actually agreeing to, in plain English.
We look for unusual clauses, unexpected charges and anything you should understand before signing.
We’re there when you get the keys
We can accompany you for the état des lieux — the inspection and inventory completed when you move in — and help make sure the condition of the apartment is properly recorded.
A word about the French way of doing business
If you’re coming from the United States, it’s important to understand that French real estate does not work quite like American real estate.
A French agent immobilier may have many enquiries for an apartment and little reason to spend time chasing prospective tenants. Emails may go unanswered. Calls may not be returned. An apartment you were interested in may simply disappear.
It isn’t necessarily personal. It’s a different way of doing business.
So don’t sit at home waiting for the agent to call you back.
We call. We follow up. We speak French. We make sure your dossier is complete and gets in front of the right person.
We cannot promise you an apartment. Nobody can. What we can do is make sure you don’t lose an opportunity simply because you don’t speak the language or don’t know how the system works.
